SmartlockPro Extra-Heavy Duty Industrial and Hospital Grade GFCI receptacles comply with the new revision to the UL Standard 943 that requires self-testing functionality for all newly manufactured devices after June 29, 2015. The GFCIs include a durable wraparound strap for enhanced support in abusive environments and an impact-resistant Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) face cover that protects the devices from harsh chemicals. Built-in safety and efficiency features include line terminal clamps initially held open to expedite first time wiring, and removable safety covers on feed-through terminals. Other features include the ability to automatically test itself to confirm that protected power is available. If the test detects any condition that would indicate GFCI protection might be compromised, a visual indicator provides an alert. The products also feature a dual-function indicator light that provides feedback on power and protection status as well as correct wiring status.
