Graybar Opens New Distribution Center in Denver

July 27, 2018
The current Denver location at 1375 W. 47th Ave. will remain open as a full-service counter, will call, staging and storage facility.

Graybar, St. Louis, announced the opening of a big new service center in Denver, CO. The new, 240,000 square foot distribution facility at 480 E. 55th Ave. will replace the company’s Aurora, CO, warehouse, which closed on July 13. The current Denver location at 1375 W. 47th Ave. will remain open as a full-service counter, will call, staging and storage facility.

The new facility will provide access to approximately $15 million in inventory and approximately 12,500 SKUs, as well as product staging, kitting, will call, jobsite boxes and carts, and wire and cable management services, Graybar said.

Consistent with Graybar’s commitment to sustainability, the distribution center is outfitted with LED lighting with daylight harvesting, high efficiency HVLS fans and automatic/low flow fixtures to reduce water consumption.

"This new service center will help us better serve our electrical, communications and industrial customers in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico and Montana," said Dennis DeSousa, Graybar Regional Vice President – Western Region. "The service center is in a prime central location, and the additional space will allow us to offer enhanced logistics capabilities and increased local inventory."

A grand opening event is scheduled to take place in October.
