Klein Tools Buys Ergodyne to Expand in Job-Site Products and Safety Supplies

In a major addition to its offering of workplace tools and equipment, Klein Tools Inc., Lincolnshire, IL, has acquired Ergodyne, St. Paul, MN, from Tenacious Holdings, Inc.

Ergodyne will be operated as a separate business unit in St. Paul at its current headquarters. Tom Votel will remain president and continue to lead the Ergodyne team, according to the press release.

Ergodyne was founded in 1983 and over the last three decades has focused on developing innovative products for the safety products space and related construction and job-site markets. Its Tenacious Work Gear product line includes ProFlex Hand Protection, ProFlex Knee Pads, ProFlex Supports, Skullerz Head Protection, Skullerz Eye Protection, Trex Footwear Accessories, Chill-Its Cooling Products, N-Ferno Warming Products, GloWear Hi-Vis Apparel, Squids Lanyards, Arsena Gear and Tool Storage and SHAX Portable Work Shelters.
