Section 410.24(A) of the 2014 NEC notes that metallic and nonmetallic raceways; MC, MI, and AC cables; nonmetallic sheathed cable; and flexible cord and cable are permitted to be used as the wiring methods as per Sec. 410.62(B) for the connection of electric-discharge and LED luminaires.
