Article 424 focuses on fixed electric space-heating equipment. As specifically outlined in Sec. 424.44(E), “Ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection for personnel shall be provided for cables installed in electrically heated floors of bathrooms and kitchens and in hydromassage bathtub locations.

As per UL 943, Class A ground-fault protection is 4mA to 6mA (5mA nominal). Class C and Class D ground-fault protection is 20mA.
