Osram Sylvania Opens $30-Million Energy-Efficient Lighting Operation

Company becomes the first T5 lamp producer in North America

Danvers, Mass.-based Osram Sylvania has opened a $30-million manufacturing operation for energy-efficient T5 fluorescent lamps in Versailles, Ky., the first in North America.

The new highly automated production line will employ approximately 25 people and produce tens of millions of energy-efficient lamps each year.
