Teen Dies from Shock in Louisiana Lake

A 17-year-old girl was also injured and is in stable condition.

A 13-year-old girl in Louisiana was killed this past weekend after she was shocked by the ladder of a pontoon boat. A 17-year-old girl was also injured and is in stable condition and two other girls were also shocked and had to be retrieved from the water.

The Tensas Parish Sheriff told KWOE 8 News that the motor in the boat house that operates the lift had a malfunction and grounded on the pontoon boat and charged it. First responders were called to a private camp on the lake around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred during a summer youth group trip.
