Chicago-based electronic controls and software manufacturer S&C recently announced a 10-year warranty that applies to nearly all of its automation products. The warranty became effective Jan. 1, 2006, but will also be provided retroactively to automation products manufactured since Jan. 1, 2005.

According to the company, design improvements and testing and QA activities in the past few years justifies the longer warranty.
