The Top 5 Highest-Paying States for Electrical Engineers: 2021

In 2021, California topped the list for the highest-paying states for electrical engineers, bumping District of Columbia (No. 1 in 2020) down one spot to No. 2, based on data from the “Occupational Employment and Wages, May 2021 Study,” released from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Other notable changes include Vermont and New Jersey falling off the rankings, with Maryland and Massachusetts making their way into the Top 5.
