Electrical Worker Injured Working on NY Bridge

An electrical worker for Welsbach Electric was injured last week while working on the Bayonne Bridge in New York. A cable snapped and hit his leg, which sustained a laceration.

According to SIlive.com, Welsbach Electric has been contracted by the Port Authority for electrical work on the Bayonne Bridge "Raise the Roadway" project.

The worker's injuries were not life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. Port Authority Police and EMS units responded to the scene, causing brief traffic delays.
