Gibson Electric & Technology, Leviton, Real Goods Solar
  • EMCOR Group, Norwalk, Conn., recently announced its Downers Grove, Ill.-based subsidiary, Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions, has received a contract for the installation of electrical systems as part of the construction of a new Science and Research Center at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill. Gibson will be responsible for the installation of all electrical systems required for the new four-story, 128,000-sq-ft Science and Research Center at Wheaton College.

  • Leviton, Little Neck, N.Y., will relocate its global corporate headquarters to Long Island’s Suffolk County on June 15. Leviton outfitted the four-story, 140,000-sq-ft facility in Melville, N.Y., with green building materials and systems, including a variety of Leviton’s own devices and controls.

  • Real Goods Solar, Campbell, Calif., has signed a contract to design and install solar electric systems totaling 3.65MW for the Fremont Union High School District in Sunnyvale, Cupertino and west San Jose, Calif. The new solar systems will be constructed as carports at all five high schools in the district and will contribute enough electricity to cover about 45% of the power usage of each school.
