After a unanimous vote, the Executive Committee of NFPA's Board of Directors donated $100,000 to the New York Firefighter's 9-11 Relief Fund. Established by IAFF, the fund is securing financial assistance to the families of fallen firefighters and fire officers. NFPA will also match employee donations to approved charities and memorial funds in support of the New York and Pentagon tragedies.
"All the members and staff of NFPA will keep these heroes in our thoughts," said NFPA President George Miller. "We stand with them, and are grateful for their dedication to public safety."
