  • Leviton Manufacturing Co. Little Neck, N.Y., recently acquired East Coast Electrical Services, the Miami-based provider of the EZE-Rough System. East Coast Electrical Systems is now a wholly owned subsidiary that is part of Leviton’s Commercial/Industrial business.

  • SimplexGrinnell , Boca Raton, Fla., is advancing its ability to provide single-source systems for primary/secondary schools and health care facilities through a new relationship with AVI-SPL, Tampa, Fla., the largest global integrator for audio/video systems and services. Under the agreement, AVI-SPL will enable SimplexGrinnell to package pro-sound systems with its integrated fire, security, and emergency communications systems and services.

  • Clockwork Home Services , Sarasota, Fla., recently announced franchise growth for the first quarter of 2009 within its portfolio of nationally branded home services companies. During the period from January through March 2009, Clockwork added 21 new plumbing, air conditioning and heating, and electrical franchises. In the first quarter of 2009, Mister Sparky America’s On-time Electrician added seven franchises, for a total of 85.
