Tyco Electronics Corp. and Redwood Systems

Harrisburg, Pa.-based Tyco Electronics Corp. and and Fremont, Calif.-based Redwood Systems recently announced a strategic collaboration to pioneer Redwood Systems' new lighting platform in the commercial lighting market. The new platform — a lighting system that fuses intelligent control, communications, and power delivery into an integrated, networked system — will make smart lighting simple and cost-effective and provide users with expanded ways to visualize and optimize their buildings.

Intelligent Building Solutions (IBS)

Edward P. Reilly, LEED AP, IEEE, a veteran of the international mission critical facility construction and design industry, has established Intelligent Building Solutions (IBS), Totowa, N.J. The firm will assist commercial real estate, finance, banking, telecommunications, media, and manufacturing clients with a complete suite of mission-critical facility development and construction services, including master planning, project management, design/build, owner's representation, feasibility studies, energy audits, and consulting.

FZ Sonick

Waynesboro, Ga.-based FIAMM and Switzerland-based MES-DEA have partnered to create a new company calledFZ Sonick that will manufacture and market alternative energy storage solutions throughout the world. This proven and highly reliable storage technology is available for immediate deployment.
