LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES TO EXPAND FIBER MANUFACTURING
MURRAY HILL, N.J. - Lucent Technologies plans to expand its specialty fiber-optics manufacturing operations in the United States and Denmark. Lucent is undertaking a $9 million expansion program at its facilities in Avon, Conn., and Somerset, N.J., in addition to the $110 million construction program at its fiber-optics manufacturing operation in Broendby, Denmark.
