Article 300 covers the general requirements for wiring methods and materials for all wiring installations. Securing and supporting requirements are outlined in Sec. 300.11. As noted in the third sentence of 300.11(A)(1), "Where independent support wires are used, they shall be distinguishable by color, tagging, or other effective means from those that are part of the fire-rated design."
