Pass & Seymour/Legrand files lawsuit against Hubbell, Inc.

Company alleges GFCI patent infringement

Syracuse, N.Y.-based Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S) recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Hubbell, Inc., Orange, Conn. The complaint alleges that Hubbell has infringed 15 U.S. patents by selling several different ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI).

In addition to an award of unspecified damages, P&S seeks a court-ordered injunction against Hubbell to prohibit making, using, importing, offering for sale, and selling the infringing GFCIs.
