Custom Electronics, Inc. (CEI)

Oneonta, N.Y.-based Custom Electronics, Inc. (CEI) recently announced the launch of a division specializing in the manufacture of bus bars, bus bar assemblies, and integrated energy storage solutions. CEI has manufactured single-conductor bus bars and multi-layer bus bar assemblies for select customers for a number of years and is now offering its bus bar design and manufacturing services commercially for the first time.

Redwood Systems

Fremont, Calif.-based Redwood Systems has been awarded a U.S. Department of Energy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. A portion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds are funneled through the SBIR program to support small business innovation research, development, and deployment of clean energy technologies. Redwood was selected as one of only six companies to receive funding for light-emitting diode (LED) technology, enabling the company to further develop its energy-efficient lighting system for commercial buildings.

Rosendin Electric

San Jose, Calif.-based Rosendin Electric has completed its acquisition of KST Electric, Ltd., Manor, Texas. With this acquisition, Rosendin Electric gains immediate access to the burgeoning Texas construction market through KST Electric's headquarters near Austin and regional offices in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Harlingen.
