Company honors journey from turbulator to industrial controls

Chardon, Ohio-based Solon Manufacturing Co. is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. In 1949, four fraternity brothers, who were also engineers, from Case Western Reserve, Cleveland, founded the company. The first products marketed were a turbulator, developed for auto parts cleaning, and a conduit bender marketed to Republic Steel.

The Solon Belleville Spring and Solon Industrial Controls Divisions are still going strong. Both have expanded product lines for various industries and applications.
