Cooper Lighting acquires io Lighting

Company expands architectural and specification product lines

Peachtree City, Ga.-based Cooper Lighting recently acquired Vernon Hills, Ill.-based io Lighting, light-emitting diode (LED) design and manufacturing company. io Lighting’s commercial indoor and outdoor architectural products include linear floodlights, cove lighting, illuminated handrails, wall sconces, and signage.

“This acquisition significantly enhances Cooper Lighting's position in the rapidly expanding LED market,” says Neil Schrimsher, president of Cooper Lighting. “io will be a strong addition to our architectural and specification product lines and to our total lighting business portfolio.”
