Cupertino Electric Sponsor Student Competition's Electrical Problem

More than 1,000 construction management students gain real-world experience and compete for academic recognition at the ASC student competition
Feb. 17, 2010

San Jose, Calif.-based Cupertino Electric, Inc. recently announced support for the 23rd annual Associated Schools of Construction's (ASC) student competition in Sparks, Nev., with sponsorship of the event's open electrical problem. The competition ran until February 13 and drew students from the Western and Rocky Mountain regions, in addition to nationwide students participating in open category problems.

The sponsorship and creation of the electrical problem, which is open to any student attending an ASC-affiliated university, demonstrated CEI's commitment to innovation. The CEI-authored electrical problem was designed to meet the demands of ASC student competitors, who are increasingly interested in specialty contracting. Electrical contracting joined mechanical contracting at the ASC competition as the only other specialty contractor category offering a problem for students to analyze.
