GE Web Site Becomes LEED-Friendly

GE's Environmental Information Center (EIC) boasts new lighting and electrical products to help attain LEED certification

The Environmental Information Center (EIC) Web site from Cleveland-based GE Consumer & Industrial now offers visitors, information about the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design- (LEED) certified building program, direction about how lighting and electrical products can account for more than 30% of LEED certification points.

"The lighting and electrical products now listed on the EIC possess inherent LEED certification value," says Heather Wilson Coode, marketing manager, GE Consumer & Industrial. "Notably, we added new environmentally relevant electrical products to help us lead the charge in environmental excellence. The updated EIC directs visitors to these LEED–friendly products."
