NEMA Publishes Bulletin on Safety Considerations for Residential Transfer Equipment and Residential Transfer Switches

Rosslyn, Va.-based National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published ICS 10-2010, Part 3, "Safety Bulletin: NEMA Safety Considerations for Residential Transfer Equipment and Residential Transfer Switches." This new guide, developed by NEMA's Industrial Automation Control Products & Systems Section Technical Subcommittee on Transfer Switches, identifies important safety considerations for residential use of transfer switches. It explains the primary types of manual transfer equipment for residential applications and selection criteria for transfer switches.
