Granville, Ohio-based Holophane proved it follows its own advice when the company’s Product & Market Development Center was LEED-certified to the silver level by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Washington, D.C. The Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating system is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.

“We are in the energy saving business and have provided the world with energy-efficient lighting fixtures since our company was founded more than a century ago,” says Diarmuid McSweeney, former vice president of development for Holophane. “It was important that we confirm our commitment to sustainability and demonstrate that we do practice what we preach.”
