Active Power Helping Metro Hospital Achieve LEED Certification

“Green” UPS system provides power protection to hospital data center

Austin, Texas-based Active Power recently installed two CleanSource 300E uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems at Metro Health Hospital, Grand Rapids, Mich. The hospital is currently seeking its LEED certification.

The data center will support Metro Health Village, including Metro Hospital’s 480,000-square-foot facility, physician offices, specialty centers, medical suppliers, and retailers. Metro Health Village is scheduled to open in the fall of 2007.
