LED Roadway Lighting Limited Announces CEATI Project

Partnership includes development of guideline specifications for LED street and roadway fixtures

Amherst, Novia Scotia-based LED Roadway Lighting Limited (LRL) has announced a major collaboration project with Center for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation (CEATI) International, Montreal. CEATI's members include 44 utilities worldwide. LRL's contract with CEATI includes research and the subsequent development of guideline specifications for LED street and roadway fixtures that will be adopted by many utilities globally.

Earlier this year, LRL announced a major pilot program in the Province of Nova Scotia, which includes the deployment of 1,100 of LRL's satellite fixtures throughout communities in Nova Scotia. In January of this year, LRL announced a $4.2 million research, design, and development program to provide wireless and wired control functionality for its range of street lighting products. This program will include dimming, switching, monitoring and networking of street lights as well as other devices.
