Parsons Corp., Terry’s Electric, Arete Power

  • Pasadena, Calif.-based Parsons Corp. recently signed a merger agreement with Houston-based 3D/International. Subject to a shareholder vote, set for May 12, 3D/International will become a Parsons subsidiary.
  • Orlando, Fla.-based Terry’s Electric, Inc. was recently awarded a $6 million contract for Osceola Count School District’s new EEE High School in Kissimmee, Fla. Turner Construction Co. is the general contractor for the 350,000-square-foot facility.
  • On Sept. 22, Reno, Nev.-based Arete Power, Inc. filed a patent infringement suit against Cerritos, Calif.-based Calnetix, Inc. and its subsidiary Vycon, Inc. Vycon officials recently responded to the suit, "Vycon disputes the allegations of the Arete lawsuit, is vigorously defending its rights, and has moved to dismiss Arete's action."
