  • Manchester, N.H.-based ConEst Software Systems recently reached an agreement to acquire RapidBOM, the telecommunications network estimating system from Catalyst Data, Inc., Athens, Ala. RapidBOM will be sold and marketed by ConEst Software Systems and Mainstay Software Corporation, Englewood, Colo., which will be responsible for all ongoing software development and enhancements, as well as user training and support programs related to RapidBOM.
  • Houston-based Aggreko plc recently entered into a definitive agreement with General Electric Co. (GE) to acquire substantially all the activities, other than those relating to large gas turbines, of GE Energy Rentals (GE-ER). The maximum consideration, payable in cash, is $212 million.
  • Owings, Md.-based ComRent International recently opened its first Florida location. The new branch comprises a 10,100-square-foot building on three in Mulberry, Fla.
