Mountain View campus system is largest of its kind in Silicon Valley

Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft recently installed a 2,288-tile solar panel system at its Mountain View Campus in California. The system is designed to deliver maximum output when the local energy grid is under the greatest strain.

Generating 480kW at peak capacity, the system is the largest of its kind in Silicon Valley.
