One of Michigan's newest and largest transmission companies, the Michigan Electric Transmission Company (METC, LLC) is seeking qualified and experienced people to fill the following position.
As a Michigan Electric Coordinated Systems Control Area Operator, this position manages the Power System reliability and coordinates the use of the Bulk Power electrical system. Position analyzes all transmission service reservations and energy schedules and must interface and understand the use of multiple electronic systems (E-Tag, Energy Management System, Stretch, ECAR & Michigan Automatic Reserve Sharing). Requirements include a minimum of 5 years electric system operation; basic computer interface skills; proven ability to analyze and rapidly respond to non-normal system operating events and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. Associates Degree, BE or BS in electrical engineering a plus.
