    July 17, 2006

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Washington, D.C., recently joined the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Drug-Free Workplace Alliance. The partnership is designed to foster safer, drug-free, and healthier American workplaces by providing the construction industry with information to help it develop and understand the benefits of drug-free workplace programs.

Alliance activities will focus on educating workers about the job site hazards created by the abuse of alcohol and other drugs in construction workplaces.
