Construction and engineering firm Cupertino Electric, Inc. recently announced that it was honored with the 2011 Generation Supplier of the Year award by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). Cupertino Electric’s efforts on two recently completed, utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling 35MW were the catalyst for the award. PG&E’s Supply Chain organization selected Cupertino Electric for the award based on the company’s strategic thinking, safety, quality, customer focus, diversity and commitment to sustainability.
“Coming off the heels of two successful, utility-scale solar PV projects for PG&E, Cupertino Electric has demonstrated it is a valuable partner — committed to innovation and hard work,” said Randy Livingston, VP of power generation for PG&E.
“It is such an honor to be given the PG&E Generation Supplier of the Year Award and to be recognized for our ability to listen, collaborate, innovate and deliver quality results safely,” said John Curcio, COO of Cupertino Electric, Inc. “We are a proud partner of PG&E and are grateful to the many subcontractors and suppliers who have enabled our success in the renewable energy market by bringing an important mix of respect, commitment and expertise to every project. We look forward to celebrating more successful projects with PG&E in the future.”
