  • EMCOR Group, Norwalk, Conn., announced that its Dynalectric Los Angeles subsidiary, has received a contract for the installation of new and existing high-voltage electrical systems at Moorpark College, Moorpark, Calif. Scope of work involves removing existing distribution switchgear and transformers and replacing them with new higher efficiency units.

  • Landing 29th on the list, the EnerSys, Reading, Pa., battery manufacturing facility in Hays, Kan., was recognized among the 2009 Quality Leadership 100 for its focus on quality manufacturing by Quality Magazine, Bensenville, Ill. More than 800 companies applied this year.

  • H&H Sales Co., Huntertown, Ind., recently launched a new Web site, which features a new design and offers complete specifications on products including cylinder storage cabinets, truck bodies, crane bodes, bulk-tank trailers, carts, and other truck equipment. Information is also available on the company’s services and links are offered to suppliers’ Web sites.

  • LEM, Geneva, recently acquired Copenhagen-based Danfysik ACP A/S. The Danfysik product range covers transducers for nominal current measurements from 12.5A to 25kA providing overall accuracy at +25°C from 1 ppm. Thermal offset drifts are extremely low, from only 0.1 to 2.5 ppm/K. Models from 12.5A to 60A nominal can be used for PCB mounting, models from 60A to 25kA are for panel or rack mounting.

  • General Cable Corp., Highland Heights, Ken., has acquired Gepco International, Des Plaines, Ill.-based manufacturer and provider of high-end cabling products for the professional broadcast and entertainment markets. Gepco reported 2008 revenues of approximately $46 million.
