  • Honeywell Fire Systems, Northford, Conn., has extended the limited warranty period on its fire alarm products manufactured within the United States from 18 to 36 months, effective immediately. The warranty extension applies to Honeywell's Notifier, Fire-Lite Alarms, Gamewell-FCI, and Silent Knight fire alarm control systems.

  • EMCOR Group , Norwalk, Conn., recently announced that its Dynalectric San Diego subsidiary has received a contract for the installation of electrical systems as part of the construction of a new medical outpatient clinic for the Veterans Health Administration in Oceanside, Calif. Scope of work includes lighting, power, and backup generator and power for a server/IT room. Dynalectric will also install the low voltage systems, which include, tel/data, cable, CCTV, intrusion detection, nurse call, card access, motion detection, and panic duress systems. Dynalectric will use building information modeling(BIM) to facilitate project coordination.

  • Allied Wire & Cable, Collegeville, Pa., is proud to announce a new partnership with C&M Corp.,. Under the partnership, Allied will become an authorized distributor of C&M’s new line of GreenLINX wind power cables.

  • Lectrus Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn., is introducing Control Systems Integration, a three level service backed by Lectrus' control engineering expertise for use in the industrial, power, and oil and gas markets. Lectrus will also design, produce, and install control equipment such as RTU, HVAC, PLC, DCS, SCADA, and UPS within the electrical equipment centers purchased by their customers.

  • WAC Lighting, Garden City, N.Y., has received the 2009 New York Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Supplier of the Year Award from the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), Washington, D.C. WAC Lighting President Shelley Wang was presented with the 2009 NY MED Business Supplier/Distributor of the Year at the New York Regional MED Week Networking Awards Reception, held July 28.
