Small business owner to oversee more than 80 electrical franchises

Mister Sparky, known as America’s On-Time Electrician, announced recently the appointment of Bill Murdy as its second brand president. Murdy was elected by fellow Mister Sparky owners across the country and will serve a two-year term.

"It’s a highlight of my career and a true honor to have been chosen to serve as Brand President," Murdy said. "I’ve been fortunate to meet and be influenced by so many great people in our organization. Each franchisee has a growth plan for their operation, and I look forward to sharing and implementing my vision for Mister Sparky, not only so that the brand grows, but so that we all achieve each of our own goals."

Murdy grew up in the electrical business. He holds a degree in electrical engineering, has been a business owner for more than 25 years, and is a 25-year member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). His Oceanside, N.Y.-based Mister Sparky is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Company, won the brand’s 2008 Transformation Award and has been featured in Successful Contractor magazine twice.

“Mister Sparky franchisees have a great leader, someone who has a strong vision for Mister Sparky's brand," Clockwork Inc.’s President, Scott Boose, said. "Bill’s business has served as a prototype for other Mister Sparky franchises. I have every confidence that his extensive experience and unquestioned success will serve as a valuable resource for our franchisees and the brand as a whole."
