On January 31, Kaiser Electric crews began work on a $9.75 million project to renovate the west side/press box of Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field at the University of Missouri (MU) in Columbia, Mo. The project includes the renovation of approximately 42,000 square feet of existing club, suite, fan amenity, game operations, and support spaces within the press box structure located on the west side of Memorial Stadium.  The project also includes the relocation of a portion of the existing press area to the upper deck by the creation of an additional enclosed, conditioned space.  An elevator will also be added near the southwest corner of the press box connecting the main concourse level to the loge and press levels.

Kaiser Electric crews will be wiring/installing new lighting and a backup generator, plus expanding electrical distribution for the renovated area. The project is expected to be completed this summer.  The architect on the project is 360 Architecture, Kansas City, Mo., and the general contractor is Sircal Contracting Inc., Jefferson City, Mo.
