• Washington State Now Offers Virtual Electrical Inspections for ECs

Inspection process allows customers on job site to interact with inspectors online via Skype
    Jan. 3, 2020

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries now allows electrical contractors to request a virtual electrical inspection (VEI) on the same day at least 30 minutes in advance of when it is needed.

According to the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, VEI is a dependable inspection process that allows customers on the job site to interact with inspectors online using Skype on a mobile device. VEI is suitable for any electrical inspections that will take no longer than 15 minutes, and that do not involve service or final approvals.

To use VEI, download the Skype Application and create a profile. On the job site, make sure you have at least a 4G, LTE, or Wi-Fi connection on your mobile device. Use Google Chrome to schedule an inspection on the day and time needed.
