California Contractor Sentenced in Bribery Case

Palmdale man handed prison sentence for bribing Los Angeles County officials.

According to a recent news brief from the Antelope Valley Press in Palmdale, Calif., a local man received a two-year federal prison sentence last week for “paying bribes to secure lucrative contracts from Los Angeles County for his electrical wiring company.

U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner also ordered Enrique Contreras to serve three years on supervised release following his time in prison and pay restitution of $821,000, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
