Thieves Break into Electrician's Van with Blow Torch

Aug. 3, 2016
This was the second time the electrician's van has been targeted by thieves.

A pair of men used a blow torch to break into an electrician's work van late last month in Vancouver. This was the second time the electrician's van has been targeted by thieves.

According to KATU 2, it only took them about 10 minutes to blow torch a hole into Kevin Thompson's van, pry the door open and steal about $1,500 worth of tools. He said they didn't take his most valuable items — he suspects they only took what was easy to resell.

Vancouver Police say they've seen three other blow torch break-ins recently.
