Wayland, Michigan-based Windemuller, a provider of technical and design services, has expanded into the mid-Michigan market through the acquisition of Hovey Electric in Midland.

Hovey Electric, now re-branded as Windemuller Mid-Michigan, will keep on its staff and former owner Jim Hovey will serve as electrical construction division manager, according to a report from Grand Rapids Business Journal.

“We are immensely proud of uniting two successfully family run businesses,” said Jim Rose, VP of Windemuller. “Both companies were founded on core values of honesty, trust, commitment and accountability, which makes this acquisition a perfect fit.”

Windemuller, founded in 1954, finalized the purchase in January and has been bringing the former Hovey Electric employees up to speed on Windemuller standards.
