Sept. 18, 2006

Erlangen, Germany-based Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (EnBW) and Siements Power Generation have partnered to build a fuel cell hybrid power plant. Plans call for the construction of a megawatt-class demonstration plant that can convert up to 70% of the fuel energy into electricity.

The companies hope to achieve the efficiency by combining a high-temperature fuel cell with a gas turbine.
