EnerSys Expands DataSafe Battery Web Site

New features include literature library and pressroom

Reading, Pa.-based EnerSys recently redesigned the Web site for its DataSafe battery line.

"The site will give everyone from engineers to media personnel the information they need to understand the features, benefits, and specifications for DataSafe 16V batteries,” says Steve Vechy, director of UPS and utility marketing, EnerSys.

The literature library provides product-specific information, with product brochures, performance spec sheets, and battery rack sheets that can be downloaded. In addition, manuals that contain installation, operation, and maintenance instructions for DataSafe 16V batteries and UBC battery racks are now available online. The site also features new charts that outline the features and benefits for each size of the DataSafe 16V batteries. The charts compare how the DataSafe 16V front-terminated batteries differ from the 12V top-terminated batteries, illustrating the improved power density and the reduction in strings, maintenance, and footprint.

With its new press room, EnerSys plans to serve members of the media with 24/7 access to detailed information such as white papers, recent news releases, and downloadable high-resolution photography. Case studies will also be featured to help illustrate particular applications of the DataSafe batteries. Additionally, the pressroom provides appropriate contacts for information and interviews, and gives users the ability to submit inquiries or request information about DataSafe batteries.
