NALMCO Enters Agreement with AMP to Enable Certification Access

CLMC testing will be available six days a week via computer-based testing in 170 testing centers throughout the United States

Des Moines, Iowa-based international Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO) has contracted with Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. (AMP) to enable access to the CLMC exam. Starting February 23, the Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC) test will be available via Computer Based Testing (CBT), allowing the professional designation to be accessible through 170 authorized testing centers, with testing sessions available six days a week.

"NALMCO and the entire lighting management industry are excited to enable a greater number of qualified professionals to become candidates for this important designation," says NALMCO Certification Committee Chairman Scott Weiss.

In preparation for the CLMC CBT, a Knowledge Center has been developed on the NALMCO Web site. The Knowledge Center is a new learning and continuing education page that houses the most comprehensive, detailed, and accurate lighting informational library available. "The Knowledge Center's primary intent is as an on-demand learning tool to allow NALMCO members and CLMC candidates access to resources, materials, and literature necessary to successfully prepare to achieve the CLMC designation," says NALMCO Editorial/Web Site Committee Chairman Ben Grothe.

Previously, a CLMC training/review course (now replaced by the Knowledge Center) and CLMC exam were held once a year in February or March at a convenient airport property or twice annually in conjunction with the NALMCO Spring Seminar and NALMCO Convention and Trade Show.
