NSTAR secures lower rates for fourth quarter

Savings to be passed on to commercial and industrial customers

Westwood, Mass.-based NSTAR recently secured contracts that are 17% lower than current rates. Under Massachusetts law, NSTAR buys electricity through a competitive bidding process on behalf of customer’s who receive their supply through the company’s Basic Service offering.

More than 1,000 of the largest customers in NSTAR’s service territory will benefit from these price cuts.
