Web Application Lets Contractors Purchase C&I Wiring Devices in Custom Confugurations

Dec. 4, 2008
On-line product configurator speeds product assembly and installation and reduces cost and environmental waste

Little Neck, N.Y.-based Leviton’s new Web program lets busy contractors custom design commercial and industrial switches, receptacles, and GFCIs in configurations that best suit their needs. Accessible from the company’s Web site, the commercial and industrial wiring device configurator saves installers and prefab contractors time and labor by enabling them to order devices that precisely match their installation requirements, while saving costs and reducing unnecessary packaging waste.

In three simple steps, contractors, specifiers, and other trades professionals can quickly and easily configure devices to match their installation needs. Users simply select one of three categories of devices, choose the color they desire and components to remove or include, then click on the email or PDF button and save, print, share the information with their project team, or send it to their Leviton sales representative for pricing and delivery information. With just one click, users can also view the product’s complete specifications on the product page of the Leviton Web site, or when viewing the product specifications page, be directed to the configurator on the “Made to Order” page.
