Robert Barbera Joins STV as Senior VP and Manager of the Construction Management Division's Northeast Territory
Robert Barbera, P.E., has joined STV as a senior VP and manager of the Construction Management Division's Northeast Territory. In this role, he will oversee all of the division's projects for the New York tri-state area.
Barbera brings 28 years experience in the construction industry. He comes to STV from a construction management firm where he was responsible for the overall operation and performance of the firm's New Jersey region. Among the notable projects he was responsible for were the new Livingston Dormitory for Rutgers University, the New York Jets Training Facility in Florham Park, the Warren Street Village dormitory complex at New Jersey Institute of Technology, emergency department renovations at St. Peter's University Hospital and the Red Bulls Soccer Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
Prior to that, he was with a major, multinational construction firm where he was involved with such diverse projects as the expansion of the Pfizer Lab/Office Building in Morris Plains, N.J., the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Cancer Center in Newark, N.J., and the Capital Health Emergency Room addition in Trenton, N.J.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and is a registered Professional Engineer in New York.
