Benjamin Standish, P.E., was recently named senior project manager at Primary Integration (PI), a commissioning and energy services organization. In his new position, Standish will focus on comprehensive power system analyses (relay protection/coordination, arc flash hazard reduction, duct bank thermal studies, harmonics mitigation), design validation and commissioning of utility/client owned high-voltage substations (to 230kV) and medium-voltage distribution networks (to 35kV), integrated relay protection, control, and automation systems (smart grid), and mission-critical microgrid power systems.

Standish, who will be working out of the McLean, Va. office, has more than 16 years of experience in the electric power engineering and construction industry. He has managed large, complex projects for federal agencies, universities, and utility companies. Prior to joining PI, he was senior chief design engineer at a Maryland engineering firm. Standish received a master of systems engineering degree from the University of Maryland, and a BSEE from Western Michigan University. He is a licensed professional engineer in 15 states.
