Nine celebrities you probably didn't know have an engineering background

Engineers are often stereotyped. You know — the office introvert who hangs out around the coffee machine and can be found wearing horn-rimmed glasses, high-water pants, and a short-sleeve dress shirt — complete with pocket protector, of course. Well, after doing a little Internet research, the EC&M editorial staff discovered this stereotype couldn't be further from the truth and that looks truly can be deceiving. The nine celebrities contained in this photo gallery all hold engineering degrees, many from prestigious universities around the world. And although a couple of the people included in this slide show fit the engineer "stereotype," some of them may surprise you.
