According to research from the ABB Group, the following segments made up the home automation market last year in North America. Lighting, a leading product category for the electrical industry, pulled in 23% of that total. This trend reiterates the importance of lighting and control opportunities in this growing automation arena as well as the impact energy efficiency and "smart" products have on demand.
