IES Calls for Speakers on Street and Area Lighting

Jan. 9, 2019
Submissions close Jan. 18.

The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) has renewed its call for submissions to speak at its 2019 IES Street and Area Lighting Conference (SALC) in San Diego, September 22-25. Submissions close Jan. 18.

Seminar sessions generally run 25-35 minutes. The Street and Area Lighting conference is an educational conference and presentations must follow IES non-commercial policy, IES said.

The IES Street & Area Lighting Conference appeals to a broad spectrum of attendees with a primary focus of improving outdoor lighting and related technologies. The IES said SALC is the only forum specific to the interests and challenges facing outdoor lighting professionals.

The ANSI Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) C136 for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment is currently seeking interested members, particularly in the underrepresented categories of End User and General Interest.
